HALIFAX - Following Credit Union Central of Canada's annual general meeting on May 4, the board of directors met to elect its Chairperson, First Vice-Chairperson and Second Vice-Chairperson.
Garth Manness, President and Chief Executive Officer of Credit Union Central of Manitoba, was chosen to continue as Chairperson.
Daniel A. Burns was re-elected as First Vice-Chairperson. He is a director of Coast Capital Credit Union and of Central 1 Credit Union. He was also re-elected to be one of Canadian Central's representatives on the board of the World Council of Credit Unions.
Penny Reeves, Chair of Credit Union Central of Alberta and a director of Servus Credit Union, was reelected to the position of Second Vice-Chairperson. She is also a director of the World Council of Credit Unions.
In addition, two new members have joined Canadian Central's board. Dave MacLean, chair of Credit Union Central of Nova Scotia and CEO of Atlantic Broadcasters Ltd. and Phil Moore, director of Central 1 Credit Union and General Manager of Greater Vancouver Community Credit Union.
Other members of the Canadian Central board are: Sean Jackson, Central 1 Credit Union; Don Rolfe, Central 1 Credit Union; Gerard Adams, Credit Union Central of New Brunswick; Scott Kennedy, Central 1 Credit Union; and Gordon Lightfoot, SaskCentral.
