Doce Tomic has been appointed president and CEO of Credential Financial Inc., the company’s board announced.
Tomic will join the Vancouver-based company on Jan. 1. He brings significant investment advisory, wealth management, and executive experience to Credential.
His early career includes a number of years as an investment advisor and subsequently branch manager of RBC Dominion Securities, followed by appointments as President and CEO of Action Direct during a time of significant growth and technology development. He was later director, National RBC Investments, and national head of wealth management for RBC.
In this latter role, Tomic was responsible for leadership of the Action Direct, Private Counsel, Private Trust, Private Banking and Dominion Securities businesses within RBC.
For the past several years he served as Chief Operating Officer of Wellington West Capital and President, Wellington West Asset Management. Recently, he was president of a privately held Canadian technology company providing an integrated financial services platform for advisors and agents.
