TORONTO -- David Phillips, President & Chief Executive Officer of Credit Union Central of Canada ("Canadian Central"), is pleased to announce that Stephen Fitzpatrick will assume the position of Vice-President, Finance and Operations with Canadian Central as of June 17. In this new position, Mr. Fitzpatrick will work with Canadian Central’s  Board, senior management, and member organizations to create and implement financial strategies and operational processes aimed at strengthening Canadian Central's capacity to fulfill its mission and priorities for the Canadian credit union system.

Mr. Fitzpatrick is an experienced finance professional in the Canadian financial services industry having been employed in senior positions with a major commercial bank for 20 years where he was involved for several years at a senior executive level in developing financial and business strategies. Mr. Fitzpatrick joins Canadian Central from Capital Planning Solutions Inc. where he was Chief Financial Officer with responsibility for a broad range of financial and operational matters.

Mr. Fitzpatrick is a Certified General Accountant and holds a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Western Ontario.
