The World Council of Credit Unions (WOCCU) is looking for nominations for the 2007 Distinguished Service Awards. The awards are the highest honour given by the worldwide credit union movement and recognize the exemplary service individuals and institutions demonstrate in the International credit union community.
Pete Crear, WOCCU CEO explained, "The achievements of credit unions, world-over would not be possible without the talents, tireless dedication and commitment of individuals and organizations, that have strived to make the vision of Quality Credit Unions for Everyone a reality.
We are pleased to recognize and honor these individuals and organizations whose efforts have made the credit union system what it is today."
Each year, the awards are presented at WOCCU’s World Credit Union Conference. The 2007 Distinguished Service Awards will be handed out in July in Calgary, Alberta.
Nominees may be WOCCU members and member organization officers, directors or representatives, international pioneers, long-service field technicians or persons who have acted on behalf of credit union development.
