SaskCentral and Windsor Family Credit Union have again made the annual list of 50 Best Workplaces in Canada.
SaskCentral placed sixth on the list compiled by the Great Place to Work Institute, which was reported in a special section of The Globe and Mail. Windsor Family placed 18th on the list.
The institute said trust is the foundation for quality jobs and performance excellence.
“This national recognition is proof that SaskCentral is an employer of choice, a responsible corporate citizen and an organization that values its employees,” said Ken Anderson, CEO of SaskCentral.
"We are very pleased to once again be recognized as one of the Best Places to Work in Canada!” said Marty Komsa, President & Chief Executive Officer of WFCU. “This award is very significant as it is based on direct feedback from our staff. "
The competition process is based on two criteria; two–thirds of the total score comes from a 57 statement survey completed by employees, along with open-ended comments; the remaining one-third of the score comes from an in-depth review of an organization’s culture including an evaluation of HR policies and procedures.
Windsor Family encourages physical fitness and other wellness programs.
"Encouraging a work-life balance among our employees is an essential part of who we are as a people-oriented organization," Komsa said.
